Building Our Community Norms
Vote on classroom norms and rename the RISE program
In this lesson, students will collaboratively vote on the classroom norms they created and discuss the importance of these norms for group and community well-being. Additionally, students will work in groups to rename the RISE mentor program with a new acronym that reflects its goals and values. This lesson will foster a sense of ownership and responsibility among students, enhance their collaborative skills, and emphasize the significance of community norms and mentorship programs in their personal and academic growth.
