Lesson Plan

Calm Down Crew Lesson Plan

Students will explore the emotion of anger by identifying personal triggers and practicing at least three calming strategies to self-regulate when feeling upset.

Helping 2nd graders recognize and manage anger supports emotional self-awareness, reduces behavioral outbursts, and builds a positive classroom climate by giving small groups targeted coping tools.
