College Detective Lesson Plan
Students will act as ‘College Detectives’ to research and evaluate multiple colleges using guided data sheets and collaboratively developed criteria, culminating in a peer presentation of their top college picks to build real-world decision-making and college-readiness skills.
This project immerses 11th graders in authentic college research, strengthens critical thinking and teamwork, and prepares them for informed postsecondary decisions by examining cost, majors, campus life, and more.
