Lesson Plan

Conflict Crushers

Students will learn and practice three practical conflict-resolution strategies—empathize, listen actively, and seek win-win solutions—through guided discussion, role-play scenarios, and personal reflection.

Fifth graders often face peer disagreements that can escalate. Teaching structured resolution steps builds empathy, improves communication, and equips students with lifelong skills for respectful problem-solving in and out of school.
