Students will learn and practice three coping strategies—deep breathing, positive self-talk, and movement breaks—to manage big emotions and build a calm classroom community.

Teaching coping skills helps 2nd graders recognize and regulate their emotions, reducing stress and improving focus, behavior, and peer relationships.
