Finding Calm Inside

Help the student recognize feelings of disappointment when she doesn’t get what she wants and practice self-regulation tools—through reading, discussion, role-play, hands-on activities, a memory game, and a quick quiz—to choose a coping strategy when upset.

Learning to accept not getting what she wants and manage anger builds resilience, reduces outbursts, and empowers her with lasting self-regulation skills.
