Students will define mental health within the context of Mental Health Awareness Month, learn about the Black Boy Joy Talent Show, identify emotions in an Inside Out clip, and begin brainstorming Marvel-themed PSAs.
Tying our first session to May’s Mental Health Awareness Month strengthens purpose, normalizes discussing emotions, and energizes students with a relevant fun fact while setting the stage for PSA creation and the talent show.
