Peer Mentor Workshop Guide

Students will learn and practice peer counseling skills—active listening, empathy, and solution-focused questioning—by role-playing common school stress scenarios and giving constructive feedback to strengthen stress-management and supportive peer connections.

High school stress can undermine both well-being and academic performance. This workshop equips 9th graders with peer mentoring techniques to foster empathy, build healthy coping strategies, and create a supportive classroom community.
