Lesson Plan

Preterite Time Travel

Students will master conjugating and using regular AR/ER/IR verbs and key irregular verbs (hacer, ir/ser, ver), plus car/gar/zar spelling changes in the preterite tense to narrate past events.

Understanding the preterite tense lets students accurately describe completed actions and tell stories in Spanish. Mastery of regular, irregular, and spelling-change forms builds confidence and fluency for real-world communication.
