Showing Up Matters

Students will identify personal and systemic barriers to attendance, explore the importance of being present, set SMART attendance goals, and create individualized action plans to improve their class participation.

Consistent attendance boosts academic achievement, social connections, and self‐confidence. This lesson empowers 9th graders to recognize challenges, take ownership of their habits, and develop concrete strategies for showing up.
