Lesson Plan

Spit Smart Lesson Plan

Students will develop a personal social story exploring why people spit, its social impact, and alternative behaviors, then reflect on how their actions affect others and plan positive strategies with autism-friendly supports.

Including clear visuals, structured cues, sensory breaks, and sentence starters helps autistic learners stay engaged, understand expectations, and practice empathy and self-regulation.
