Splash and Mix Lesson Plan

Students will explore water as a solvent by mixing water with various materials and discovering which dissolve. They will sort materials into dissolving and non-dissolving categories to reinforce the concept.

This lesson fosters early science inquiry and observation skills, introducing Pre-K learners to solubility. It builds fine motor skills through stirring and sorting, and cultivates curiosity about everyday phenomena.
