Words Matter Plan

In this 30-minute lesson, the student will learn that using “you’re gay” as an insult is hurtful and unacceptable and will practice choosing respectful language instead.

This lesson builds awareness of the meaning of “gay,” fosters empathy by exploring how words affect feelings, and equips the student with positive communication skills to create a supportive classroom environment.
