In this 60-minute Tier 1 lesson, students will collaborate to co-create a meaningful class mission statement that fosters a positive and inclusive environment. This foundational activity empowers academically challenged learners by giving them ownership of class values and expectations. Materials include a lesson plan, slide deck, teacher script, discussion guide, interactive activity, warm-up, and cool-down.

In this engaging 60-minute lesson, students will explore the meaning of respect, why it matters in everyday life, and how they can show respect to themselves and others. Through a short reading, guided discussion, and interactive activity, students will develop a shared understanding of respect and practice respectful behaviors. This Tier 1 lesson serves the whole class and lays the foundation for a positive classroom culture.

In this 30-minute lesson, 4th graders will explore what respect means, why it matters, and how to show it in real life through discussion, scenarios, and role-play. Building respect helps create a positive classroom community and empowers students to treat others kindly.
