In this 9-session Tier 1 unit, 4th–6th graders explore the key differences between bullying and normal disagreements, learn positive self-regulation strategies, and understand when to seek adult support or report bullying. Each 20-minute session combines direct teaching with discussion, hands-on activities, and reflection worksheets to build students’ social-emotional skills and foster a safer classroom community.

In this single 30-minute Tier 1 lesson, 6th graders will explore key character traits: honesty, patriotism, loyalty, and perseverance. Through discussion, scenarios, and reflection, students will understand why these traits matter in everyday life and how to demonstrate them. This lesson builds students’ social-emotional skills, fosters civic awareness, and encourages personal growth.
