Helping Hands: Making a Difference

Welcome the students and introduce the topic. Explain the title and set a positive tone for the lesson. Mention that today's focus is on small acts of kindness and the big impact they have.

Why Help Others?

Discuss the importance of helping others and ask students to share what they think 'helping those in need' means. Use questions like 'Why do we help others?' and 'How do you feel when someone helps you?' to spark conversation.

Group Activity: Brainstorm Ideas

Explain the group activity. Encourage students to work together, using the empathy worksheet to brainstorm ideas. Remind them that all ideas are welcome and that even small gestures count.

Reflection & Sharing

Bring the class back together. Ask a few groups to share their ideas. Summarize key points, reinforcing how empathy and community service contribute to a better community. Address any questions from the students.
